The Benefits of Staff Training

The Benefit of Staff Training

Training courses are ways of improving the effectiveness of your current workforce, but they are also attractive benefits for ambitious people.

Training isn’t just important to any company, it is vital.

Although there are many categories of training such as management training and or business training, there are general benefits to be realized from virtually any type of education program or policy a company undertakes.

The benefits of training to employees are not limited just to the employees. Research shows that the time that businesses that invest heavily in employee training tend to be the more successful and prosperous businesses

The benefits of staff training courses include:

  • An increase in productivity
  • An improvement in the quality of work
  • Reduced faults, waste or customer complaints
  • A better and more streamlined process
  • More competent staff
  • An increase in positivity and staff morale and motivation
  • Reduction in staff turnover
  • Decrease in staff absences
  • Allows your business to adapt to change and prepare for growth
  • Gives you a competitive advantage over your business competition
  • Helps you attract top talent if your business is seen as one that values and invests in their workers
  • Better communication between staff and management

Keep Business Costs Down

By offering your staff training it, in effect, pays for itself, because your business will receive more effective staff

Effective training can lead to increased compliance with regulations. It can even lead to a happier, more satisfied and engaged workforce with greater productivity, which in turn reduces turnover and costly new employee onboarding as well as, a positive company culture, lower staff recruitment costs and a healthier bottom line.>

Your Legal Requirement

While in many workplaces staff are legally required to hold staff training for health and safety, there are no laws that state you must provide training to employees.

>Your staff may, however, have the right to ask for time off — usually unpaid — for training or study if:

  • You employ at least 250 people
  • The staff member is classed as an employee and has worked for you for at least 26 weeks
  • The training course is relevant to their job

While it may not be the law the train your staff, there are many benefits to offering staff training courses.

GETTING YOUR STAFF TRAINED IS CRITICAL, BUT CHALLENGING!

Training is not just about staying compliant, it’s about ensuring your people can safely and confidently do a great job and support those they serve.

The problem is, trying to get people engaged with (or even turn up for) mandatory training is a challenge when many courses are too broad and, dare we say it – too boring.

That’s frustrating. Especially when some of the skills your people need training in could, ultimately, save lives. Worrying about what could go wrong if your teams aren’t getting the required learning is enough to keep you awake at night!

But, it doesn’t have to be that way.

We’ve helped organisations like yours increase training attendance from 60% to as high as 90% in just 3 months.

Four Seasons Healthcare Group

We had an urgent need to provide training in Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) across our business as a result of the challenges experienced during the first critical months of the COVID-19 pandemic. Knights Absorb worked with us to define a training solution that could be delivered in a ‘Covid-Safe’ manner that would enable us to reach our teams at our target sites within a tight time frame. They trained 277 of our team members across a 6 week period, providing the reassurance we needed to keep our teams and residents safe as well ensuring we were meeting regulatory requirements. The trainers were professional and sensitive to the needs of our homes at all times, and the feedback from everyone who attended the training has been fantastic.

United Response

Knights are now our preferred provider. The quality of training that Knights provides is exceptional. When it comes to Customer Service, Knights excel, in the many years of partnering with multiple companies, Knights are head and shoulders above the rest. Never phased by challenges that clients provide, Knights naturally deal with the issues, assess the need and make the correct decision for the customer. This is not to say they bend over or wilt when challenged, quite the opposite, they seem to scope issues and resolve them efficiently, a customer service ethic that is quite rare. Keep up the good work guys, it is noticed and appreciated.

Priory

Knights don’t use generic trainers but find the best trainer for the course and client. The trainers are specialists in their fields and have practitioner experience which I feel is always important when delivering to staff. Trainers discuss our needs before attending training and revise training to meet specific needs.

Hail

Knights have personalised courses to meet our learning and development needs. As predominately a learning disability/Autism provider we require trainers and courses that reflect these specific needs and Knights have delivered on this. All courses have met our requirements fully

Modus Care

Knights Training are an organisation that are easy to work with, reliable, operate a competitive straight forward pricing structure, offer an impressive range of courses and employ good quality trainers who have expert subject knowledge, certainly an organisation that I would recommend.
