In just two months, since the outbreak of Covid-19, Knights Absorb has trained over 2000 care workers in crucial life-saving skills. This training has provided vital knowledge for support staff to both care and save the lives of vulnerable residents in Care Homes during the current crisis.
The training areas delivered by Knights Absorb’s expert instructors have included safeguarding, mental health, medication, clinical procedures, suicide prevention, fire safety, CPR and life support. With social distancing, all training has been delivered remotely with a focus on getting new care workers the skills and knowledge to carry out their jobs safely and effectively.
Sarah Morgan, Academy Manager from The Priory Group, a national provider of care, cites the partnership with Knights Absorb as an integral part of the organisations’ success at minimising Covid-19 cases within their care homes:
“It has been a pleasure working with Knights Absorb to set up our Virtual Classroom training. Knights were not only highly supportive but also found solutions proactively and effectively, enabling us to provide life-saving learning within a short timeframe. They were always available to provide support and advice.”
On Knights Absorb’s success in delivering effective training, founder Steve van de Worp said
“As a training business, we have moved from physical to virtual classroom rapidly to support care workers at this difficult time. Our instructors continue to deliver vital skills and knowledge in an impactful and engaging manner.”
“Going forward, we will continue to support the critical work of care workers by delivering any training requirements virtually both rapidly and conveniently.”
